To the shorters who say - "We Longs have no idea what we are doing?" Take a hint from an experienced Wallstreet guy - google "Volkswagon stock Shortsqueeze" (Oct 28th 2008).Look at that chart and then look in the mirror? Have you ever heard of the term Margin Call? It's the worst feeling in the world when it happens to someone. It's the result of "Unlimited Risk" and it is made clear on every series 3,6,7 ect... exam to get your securities license! When you go Long on a stock - you can loose your principal investment in a stock -that's it - not a penny more. But when your short, the market doesn't care where you are able to cover. A short at $3.00 on significant news may cover at $5.00, $10.00. $20.00, $50.00 or higher? But you say you have a Stop/Loss in at $3.00? That just means the Stop/Loss "triggers" at $3.00. It doesn't mean it executes. When significant news comes out and triggers a stop/loss - it just places you in line to execute. That's a line that can lead to a $50.00 share price if there are no other sell orders out there to fill. Hypothetically - Are you willing to bet your entire portfolio that ECSL does not announce a Significant Contract in the coming days?
