I think the ticker only has to change if the share structure is altered i.e. a major part of the company goes to refinancing or there is a merger and old shares are only worth 1/2 of a new one. Even with dilution for DIP financing I don't see why this would have to happen.

This is why the American Airlines merger required a new ticker.

I don't believe that uplisting necessarily requires a ticker change, that would be up to the company.

If anyone can cite the rules or an example otherwise I would appreciate it but this is my best understanding.
