I forgot to answer this one from last night but before I do, You need to put away any firearms and sit down. Ready? Ok
If you would have bought 10,000 shares at .40 cents your investment would have been $4,000.

You would have received 74.4% of those shares back through the 5 distributions
(Dec '13, Jan '14, Feb '14, Mar '14, & Apr '14)

So by April 2014 you would have received 7440 shares of AAL for the original 10,000 shares of AAMRQ.

If you would have held those 7440 shares and sold them today for say $50 per share you would walk away with $372,000.00
And since you went long on your investment you would only pay a NO MORE than 15% tax on the profits, maybe less depending on your income.
