not true. in the case of otc stocks the sec does not halt, it suspends for ten days and ten days only. halts are for exchange listed stocks. the sec does not halt otc stocks for pending news or anything of that sort. maybe you are confusing the sec with a finra halt which can be done for suspicious trading activity, however, nothing of that sort occurred here.
