Someone Botched Pennyland's Premier Rule: Never Promise An Exact Amount On An Exact Day... Just a Few Days Off. So much safer to make the payoff vague and the date sometime in the fuzzy future.

The check was a certainty according to some if you read events from right before Dec 23, 2011, the due date.

Big mistake, and Mister Market noticed.
