More stocks copying BRK.A in keeping share price high. Splits are becoming rare. The public has learned to associate low price with riskiness, and even fraud. There's also a bit of snob appeal in owning the elite highest priced shares. There are some other advantages in high priced shares, and a few disadvantages too.

In recent years ultra high priced listed shares have performed very well.
