Paying Baker Hughes 3.5 Billion if the deal DOESN'T go thru smells of malfeasance to me. Any management team that would agree to a clause like that in a buyout proposal/agreement should BE REPLACED.

When I read that about 10 days ago I couldn't believe it. I thought surely it was a misprint and the writer meant 3.5 million. This is unbelievable. How many quarters of BOTTOM LINE PROFIT would it take to replace that?

I'm sure the Baker Hughes management is crossing their fingers that the deal DOESN'T go thru. What a windfall that will be for them.

They better try to get old Dich Cheney back to try and get things back on track here. The present bunch just aren't cutting it.
