Don't know if they'd even want to transform those machines.

ANSWER: First identify the machine. Duh! If it is an Engel E-110, then, possibly, depending upon the size of the part they are making.

And if new techniques for larger pieces are
developed...would it become an attachment to current Engel machines??

ANSWER: NO, a larger tonnage machine is required.

Would it not be logical to answer your doubts before you state:

There are so many potential IRONS in the fire...

Based upon simple math of your above, there are ZERO irons in the fire.
