Even though it's a university study, I'm pretty sure they'll have to register with U.S. National Institutes of Health (clinicaltrials.gov). So that type of info will have to be provided/made public.

Punit did say that this was the quickest way to begin the trials, so I'm not 100% sure that the registration process is the same.
