I cannot find the post now, but someone posted a lengthy explanation the other day that included something about the FDA not allowing a nutraceutical to be derived from tobacco. I think it was noted that the tobacco plant would be the only practical source to get anatabine naturally.

Well, since the product was taken off the shelf on the basis of a flawed technicality, could it put back on the shelf in a similar way. Could a company, maybe that spinoff tobacco-related company, derive anatabine from tobacco to sell as a product designed to help people quit tobacco...but that could be bought by anyone? In other words, the product is on the shelf in the tobacco cessation section, but no one is going to ask you for proof that you are buying it to quit smoking. I would have no problem with the fact that the anatabine was naturally derived from tobacco.

Juts a crazy thought.
