Good morning Lee, dapper d and all! I've been missing Miami Gent, too! Going six ways to Sunday, lol.
When I was running my business for 35 years I had a very orderly life- mostly work but time for dining out, consuming any newspaper I could get my hands on and language classes on Saturday mornings and a carefree day out.
Now, in "retirement" and the reality of being in the last third of life, I am twice as busy! There is so much I want to do that I deferred on while in the mono-occupation, workaholic years.
One thing I started that is taking a lot of time is working to bridge communities religious in Southeast Florida with related institutions up north. It entails presenting at the churches to bring awareness of retreats, vocation discernment and alike. This may be my first weekend off in quite a while.
There is an interesting and totally unforeseen aspect to this- the Richard Chamberlain effect, I call it. Some ladies seem to like guys in this setting (disclosure: me single, never married). They don't know- I am trying to make up for a wanton youth, lol! Well, I'm running with it and had a nice date last week!
The real estate project I am working on now should be wrapping up sometime late 1st qtr/early 2nd qtr and then I'll be able to return to the bliss of quiet, late night reading the boards and dd'ing.
BBS is a very good, clean board and I'm delighted to see my friend Lee coming by, as well as Bruce Thompson and I encourage others.
Folks: Lee was a newspaper editor in his travels- he likes well placed ten dollar words. I occasionally won his weekly contest for obtuseness in speech, lol. He has an encyclopedic mind for baseball and when he learnt I worked at Fenway as a boy hawking ice cream, popcorn, cold coke and hot franks, I was A-ok with him.
He's a dedicated futures player- no need for a company story and he can play 'round the clock and does!
Lee's was a colleague of Zeev, a revered, deceased inaugural poster on the hub.

A few weeks ago, missing MIAMI GENT I learned that he spent much time in a room called 'Big Boards scans, charts and news.'

I popped in.

And I was impressed. So I kept popping in.

And saw traders. And much good information and analysis.

Now during the day I switch from this room to that room, feeling like a pinball bouncing back and forth.

It's a terrific room and I suggest you take a peek.

Good rooms are hard to find.

[The only drawback is the furniture in the room; there's a couch that HAS to go.]

Friends, please also visit Lee's board for more intelligent stock banter- get two boards for the price of one! MG
