It's possible that a teleconference with the complete results (well presented) of the entire Phase 1 trial could partially repair the damage. Unfortunately, it is much easier to keep a good reputation than it is to repair a damaged one.

I would generally counsel management that more communication is better than less. However, the assumption is that management has a basic knowledge of PR. With GALT, that does not appear to be the case. At this point, there is not enough work to justify a full time Investment/Public Relations position. But GALT needs someone who understands the company, the technology, and Public Relations to oversee external corporate communications.

FM: I'm in agreement with your assessment. Do you think a more complete report on cohort 3 data could pull us out of this nose dive? More information about phase two design...properly presented? Maybe some interim data from the melanoma study (that's a big if, I guess)? What, specifically, is GALT not doing that other companies do that would make things go more smoothly? - Darwinian
