As a tip, for those who want to dig a bit deeper, you can read the documents "UPLOAD" (questions asked by the SEC) and "CORRESP" (responses by the company).

This is part of the review performed by the SEC, which happens every 3 years or so (selectively). You can learn quite a few things about a company this way. For instance, that they maintain their books in PRC GAAP and convert to US GAAP when it is time to report. Many other stuff.

Yasheng was reviewed in 2010. This is the first UPLOAD document from that time, to get you started. You will find the company responses in the next CORRESP document. And then things go back and forth a while.
