There were some 2000 open October calls at the time of expiration. Those who sold them could've easily driven the stock down to $2.5 to make them expire worthless, but for some reason they didn't.
I have a suspicion those are warrant holders selling those contracts and then deliver the shares after converting the warrants. Which means it shouldn't be used as a indication of the upcoming move up. But converting the warrants should help the company and the stock.
