This is wonderful news! I wish him a successful surgery and a speedy recover.
I spoke to Les the other day and we discussed a number of stories in the media, mostly the negative ones. And, the need to see positive stories, DCVax patient ones if possible. With regard to one of the negative ones, he told me that Brittany isn't planning to end her life today. I was very happy to hear that. He said that instead she plans to look into alternative treatments. He didn't say which ones but we spoke about DCVax, in my eyes not being a candidate for her yet. First being because they didn't any tumor. And second swelling from vaccine effects. To that he said that partial removal procedures could solve those problems. He did say that many people reached out to them over her case. And he asked me about my attempts to help her. I forwarded the treatment Hodge sent around about clinical work to encase the tumor. He wasn't shocked that I hadn't received a response. Then the conversation led to tumor itself. He said by the time most GBM patients reach for their help it's often too late as patients haven't had their tumors stored properly. And that is frustrating. And from there we spoke about it's become more common for hospitals to offer services along with procedures (I.e, saving umbilical cords. ). And if he had the money to go into any venture, it would be tumor storage. I found that interesting to say the least. :)
On NWBio's website they state that the intention is to DCVax-L for all operable tumors. And Direct on inoperable. Being that Allan started with Direct, he should consider saving his tumor for later vaccine use...
