The 2015 Ford F-150 is already an impressive off-road machine, but Oregon-based truck accessories manufacturer Bushwacker is looking to make it even better.





Ahead of its debut at the 2014 SEMA Show next month, Bushwacker has detailed its take on the aluminum-bodied F-150, billed as “a highly capable off-road support vehicle.”

To improve the Ford’s trail worthiness, the Portland firm fitted its signature Pocket Style Fender Flares to the truck, which give the wheels more room to travel over uneven terrain and protect the black and white paint job from damage. All Bushwacker parts are covered by a limited lifetime warranty.

Bushwacker has also equipped the pickup with beefy Skyjacker lift suspension, a Warn Industries winch, a tactical roof rack and a Vision X light bar. Other upgrades include slick black Mickey Thompson wheels and items from ARB, Bestop, Cargo Glide, Hi-Lift, and Mac’s.

For those moments where the beaten path is a distant memory, Bushwacker packed an assortment of spare tires, fuel cans, air compressions, and other recovery gear with the SEMA Show car. This is a small little detail, but one that makes a lot of sense; a six-inch lift and power winch won’t do you much good if your tires are flat and the truck is out of gas.

The support vehicle will help commemorate the inaugural Bushwacker Founder’s Award, which will crown the best custom truck or SUV at SEMA. Entrants will be judged by “an esteemed panel of industry experts,” with the winner being announced November 6th at 3:00 PM.

Bragging rights with your muddin’ buddies is a priceless commodity, but a $1,500 prize ain’t so bad either.
