The real positive about this lawsuit settlement is that it may be an augury of FHFA blessings: a clearing of the decks for moving forward out of conservatorship. Just housekeeping stuff that leaves FNMA squeaky clean, lean and mean and ready for relisting.

There just has to be some plan for recapitalization, because this expansion of business and mission will never fly with Congress. It all points to release in the next 3-6 months, IMHO.
