counting revenue of a custom home builder is very misleading. Lets say that they claim 1.6 million in revenue. The custom home builder usually gets 10% of the cost to build the home. So are they claiming the costs of the homes in the 1.6 million in revenue? Or, is the 1.6 million the custom home builders share?

So did they build 16 million dollars worth of custom homes?

Or, are they being deceptive and claiming the home costs of revenue?

If they are claiming the home costs as revenue, that means the custom builder only had about $160,000 in revenue. By the time you pay yourself, not much left. As a matter of fact, the business probably lost money. OUCH
