if you had an account there and you could loan your shares out for some interest while you waited to sell those shares at a later date, wouldn't you?
I think folks who loan out their shares will do so because it's free money until you are ready to sell those shares. They're still your shares, you just loaned them.
So unless you think there's a million share sell of over the last couple of weeks, then that million shares were shorted. It can be one or the other.
Anyone who says there wasn't a million shares traded over the last couple of weeks doesn't know what they're talking about.
