It is my understanding, and I could be wrong, that use of other immune therapies would have excluded a patient from DC Vax Direct clinical trial. Wouldn't other immune therapy clinical trials have to exclude patients who have received prior immune therapies as well? Otherwise it would skew the results of the competing trial. People could get the treatment under compassionate use if the company was willing to provide it, but it is my understanding that few are willing to risk compassionate use because the outcomes, especially if there are adverse effects, still have to be reported to the FDA.
