Whoever wrote the press release today was either sloppy and failed to read the Yahoo article or else thought that they could pull a fast one.

Sequence of events:

1) Shawna Ohm publishes article on Yahoo Finance:

2) Article has two errors:

HempMeds – which makes CBD infused products – says they sell about $1 million in products each month. HempMeds’ parent company, Medical Marijuana Inc. (MJNA), says that through all of its divisions, it’s sold some $60 million worth of CBD-only, THC-free products so far this year.

and

Medical Marijuana Inc., whose portfolio includes both THC-free and THC-rich medical marijuana products,

Note that the article appears to have been changed already - this verbiage is no longer in the article as is published.

3) MJNA posts this press release

DID THEY READ THE ARTICLE???

4) I contacted the author, who told me that she was just quoting her source:

I will definitely look into these. (With the $60M figure, that is the number they gave me and we attribute it as such.)

Draw your own conclusions. MJNA is either sloppy or doesn't mind untrue things being in the public domain (in fact press releasing them).

If you don't like my posts, don't read them. If you think only those who agree with you should post, then start your own message board. My conclusions are my opinion only, based on what I believe to be true. I have no crystal ball.
