Yesterday i briefly talked about what was necessary for a person to go to heaven when they die...a personal relationship with Jesus. And i also talked a little about the reality that if a person dont know Jesus as Lord...they have not been born-again...the fact that they were headed to hell and how horrific that was going to be! My post was basically directed at the lost...the unsaved. So this morning i want to address the same topic but i am talking to all y'all that profess to be born-again. Yes...to all of us that have a relationship with almighty God. Now for those of us that have surrendered our lives to Jesus we know very well what hell is going to be like. We dont know exactly but we understand how horrific the pain and suffering is going to be and that it will never end. We have heard it preached...we have come to understand through the reading of the Bible...we have common knowledge that hell is not a place to wake up. So with this knowledge that we have how grieved...how saddened...how urgent is our desire to see the lost saved? Do we witness to our unsaved friends and family every chance we get. Do we offer the knowledge we have of the saving grace and love of Jesus to complete strangers? We know how bad that hell is going to be... does it bother us to think that there are people all around us that are headed to hell and we make a effort as often as we can to offer the good news of Jesus Christ to them? When you go to the funeral of a unsaved person can you sit there and know that you did your part to witness to them or do you have to think why didnt i say something...now they are lost forever! Folks...i know it can be hard to witness sometimes...and im not saying we have to be a Bible thumper always in someones face. Im saying when we talk to the lost in everyday conversation do we tell them what Jesus did for us and what He can do for them. Ask God for courage...for strength...for wisdom...to reach out to the lost. Remember...most likely the unsaved are not going to visit our church...we must go to them...and...You and i may be the only Bible they ever read! Think about it!
