Yeah AG the rules haven't changed.. Loopholes and leaks identified and industry is running around and pouring through those flaws. Annual National Defense Authrization Act Section 818 through 833 deal with supplier accountibility. Massaged a bit since inception. Fy 2013 I believe.
The DFARS ruling in May only came out with a requirement that all DoD branches and agencies have formal supply chain measures in place to prevent counterfeit infiltration.

On electronics SIA helped the branches in formalizing policy to buy direct from their self policed members.

Blew us right out of the water. DLA is keeping in the fight. The formal path forward is murku as hell. Somebody will be resposible after the trajedy is done. Then tied up in courts of the future.
