You're misreading the story, tajs. Remington has its own system which is also compatible with K-cups. That does not mean that MP has anything to do with the process; they may not be handling, roasting, packaging or shipping the product. You notice that the story says nothing about RealCups - this is a different, but compatible, system. There is even the chance that RealCups won't work in Remington machines (unlikely if they're both K-cup compatible, but who knows).

If MP is involved, then this isn't very good for JAMN - they'd have to buy and ship the beans, have MP process, roast and ship the beans to Remington who processes and packages the beans and ships them off to the customers. For JAMN, all this means is greater costs with not much of an increase in sales.

Add the Sparkling Drink system, and JAMN is poisoning the relationship they have with Mother Parkers.
