Should Intel be losing over a billion dollars a year chasing the mobile rabbit?

YES. Only the paranoid survive ...

I'd love to see, in your own words, why Intel should just give up.

Maybe because you think Intel is too proprietary and that the Seven Nation ARMy is destined to prevail?

You misunderstand me. I think Intel needs to chase the mobile rabbit too... I.e. "fight to live another day."

To not fight is to cede the market to ARM.

I'm addressing the Intel sycophants who A) don't believe ARM is a threat, and B) don't believe that the fight for mobile is costing Intel dearly.

Apparently, you're not in that category.

As far as who is "destined to prevail": Excuse me, but you hear a lot more of that from the Intel believers than the Intel skeptics.

(And please don't twist my desire to see a viable and more open alternative PC platform into a thirst for blood from Intel's carcass.)
