trying to understand buying 1 share of this, as someone did this morning



You'll see lots of that as people buy enough to create "round lots" or "semi-round" lots ( multiples of 100 or 10 shares ). The R/S here was massive, much larger than the usual, even for a trip-zero'er so there are no telling how many Shareholders now holding only single-digit or double-digit share counts.
