The higher the POG goes the more explorers properties are worth even if those properties don't have proven reserves. Obviously you get more for your money the more proven your reserves are.

For example Mt. Washington holds billions in PM's, but it would cost billions to produce. If gold rises and holds above $2,000.00 Mt. Washington becomes a profit powerhouse. If gold were to fall to $500.00 and stay for a long time it becomes worthless to hold the claims.
