I don't see how helping to grow and legitimize a non-PC ecosystem helps Intel's PC business... A business which ARM is already "out of."



People seem to be confused over the definition of a PC.

Does a PC have to include Windows, or can a PC just be anything larger or more "fully functional" than a tablet?

Intel can (and probably needs to) develop a market outside of Windows. Especially since Windows 8 isn't as successful as people on this board hoped it would be 2-3 years ago.
