Since the Chinese are very long term planners maybe their prime directive was not to find oil at all in order to give them time to get a lock on the thousands of sq. kilometres in the gulf with obtaining a better deal with the JDA and getting rid of the pesky minors ??

If SNP are still around and have not abandoned the JDZ blocks after 5 years they must have some kind of long tern intentions and its doubtful that its only biogenic gas !
