I have a guess as to what precipitated the arrests of Christians in Saudi Arabia. The religious police are Wahhabis. It is well known that other than Muslim religious services are forbidden in The Kingdom.

I don't recall a private Christian service ever being raided . King Abdullah has gradually eased up on some of the more onerous parts of his Country's Sharia law. He has also spoken out against ISIL.

Wahhabis may not like the way he is moving and are forcing a show down with the King. not good news.
