If you have nothing better to do, read this paper that discusses the attachment issues of the Ebola virus

Notice the glycan “caps" on the attachment protein on the surface of the virus (virus in red)

Ordinarily the activity on the cell surface knocks off the cap, allowing for attachment

That’s why this virus is so tricky and why existing approaches may not work!
