CEC Funds for AVT Manufacturing
September 10, 2014 in Alternative Fuels, by Rich Piellisch
$10 Million Available, Workshop on September 19

The California Energy Commission has approximately $10 million for advanced vehicle manufacturing facilities under ARFVT, the agency’s Alternative and Renewable Fuel and Vehicle Technology Program.

The agency seeks too help establish California factories that produce zero- or near zero-emission vehicles, or components for such vehicles.

The solicitation/Program Opportunity Notice (PON-14-604) encompasses electric, CNG/compressed natural gas, LNG/liquefied natural gas, E-85, biogas, renewable diesel, ethanol, DME/dimethyl ether, biomethane, and hydrogen/fuel cell vehicles.

The maximum funding amount that may be requested per proposal is $3 million, CEC says, and the minimum is $1 million. Cost-sharing of at least 50% is required.

CEC will host a pre-application workshop for the advanced vehicle manufacturing initiative in Sacramento on September 19.

Applications will be accepted until November 7.
