Despite the title, they are writers, not scientists or engineers. They have to find stuff to write about to fill up pages. Their track record is really dismal. Back in the early to mid 70s they did an article on what cars would look like by 2000....they concluded there might still be some spark ignition engines left. That's true, just that none of the other technologies that were supposed to be predominant ever left the lab.

It's better to go by track record.

As an interesting, but meaningless, side bar; note that the SAAB project's chief engineer (Ove Platell) is the father of Cyclone's newest member.
