This applies in spades to aid for Israel.

I am definitely no fan of Israel's policies and it goes so far as to make me uneasy about Intel in Israel. But I see it as something that the government should be concerned about and not business as such and my feelings about what happens there are as a private citizen. I do wish governments would reflect human rights more and industry and self interest less though I have a bit of a horror about what idealism leads to sometime. I agree that saying people nuking each other not being one's concern or something to cheer about is just plain disgusting.

Overall I think politics should be kept off a board like this except insofar as it is of pretty direct relevance like when China starts talking about security concerns with chips.
