Actually the water recovery inside the tower has been a concern for me as well. However, I know even less about the recovery system than I do about water cycles in the desert. I didn't want to open that can of worms.

According to the recent article linked in the post by HHDFC water that is running down the tower that didn't evaporate will be recovered. Sounds pretty low tech.

If there's something new that can extract water from the air as it's leaving the tower then I would think that Ron would certainly consider using it. It would, of course, have to be cost effective.

It's improvements such as this that makes me think that this technology could eventually be dominant in the renewable energy sector. Most of the others have had years of development and innovation to reach the efficiencies they're achieving today. SWET is just starting out. The first tower will produce an impressive amount of electricity. Can you imagine what it could do after a few iterations of development?
