Okay without going all bipolar and saying 100% is lost or 100% is absorbed what would be a reasonable ESTIMATE? What percentage of water vapor condenses on the sandy ground and is absorbed? How much of that actually gets far enough down to be recycled into the groundwater?

It doesn't take much of a thought experiment to realize that it can't be very much.

I'll give the process the benefit of the doubt and say that 1/2 of 1% of the water that leaves the tower as vapor is returned to the groundwater aquifer.

You're basing YOUR ENTIRE ARGUMENT on a off hand comment made by Pickett during the May 5th conference call. There isn't any mention of the city experts ever saying such a thing.
