Chocolate Making Update on the Website...


With great regret and a little sadness, I have put our trusty savage 200 pound melting out to pasture. I have been making chocolates for over 30 years for many companies and this savage 200 was an industry staple. Even though the Savage was slow to melt and took longer to temper, it was the only unit that was considered the best. I have used our Vortex more than 15 times in tests and to produce a few smaller orders and this week a 400 pound order is in our hands which will put the VORTEX to the ultimate test "produce 400 pounds fast" which I know it will. The sad part is, I know that our Vortex will be the best choice for production and the Savage will just sit waiting for the scrapper to pick it up.

Given the choice as a professional who needs to keep up with production and speed, I have to chose our Vortex VTA50. The savage will temper 200 pounds but the Vortex can melt and temper (4) 50 pound rounds faster and more precise than the savage can in the same time. Some orders for casinos are coming in for our products that require fast turn around. I will be pleased to know we can now do that with the Vortex unit.
