"When I originally posted What GreenHills Software was doing with the TPM Mobile it did not draw much attention but if you read what they are doing with their Hypervisor on the KNOX platform well, the TPM is on board and their technology is being tested by the DOD with an MNO called AT&T."

Am I missing something? Looks to me like Wave is not involved in this test.

For myself, I see AT&T continuing to control its customer base, whether the hardware is a secure element or a TPM. The fact they can subvert the design of TPM to their own purposes isn't terribly surprising to me. It's what I have said carriers do. The previous example was NFC chips. With NFC chips they channelled the transaction through the SIM card thus retaining control of the cash flow.

But if we are looking for a little piece of hardware controlled by the end user with software supplied by Wave or the opportunity for Wave to engage with consumers and/or enterprises, I must still be missing it.

I didn't think the purpose of investing in Wave was to celebrate the testing of a control module by carriers for their own purposes. my guess is they'll manage their own customer base.

if there's room for hope it is that large enterprises may purchase phones direct from a handset maker like samsung. that looks like a viable path to an opportunity.
