Olddog: I think you understanding is correct. That sentence was poorly written. The CAFC did not reverse and RENDER a finding of infringement. It reversed the finding of non infringement and sent the issue back to the ITC.

The word REVERSE is confusing. It means something more like " we throw that decision out". After it is 'thrown out", then it goes back to the lower court/ITC to decide all over again.

It also doesn't mean the ITC can't find no infringement the second time around.

The CAFC needs to start RENDERING or these cases will go on forever.
