1d, yes Apple is free riding, but Pegatron is paying and I wonder how much of that cost is passed on to Apple. Keep in mind that Apple does not really manufacture product. Hon Hai is definitely free riding right now and it would be nice if Apple signs a deal that encompasses all products, but meanwhile Interdigital apparently gets a good rate from Pegatron. It seems to me that Pegatron should be putting a bit of pressure on Apple to sign a deal that would possibly reduce their rate.
