Went to church this morning...prior to leaving the house I ask God to allow me to receive at least one point to help me along the way.....I was blessed as I got several good points and my daughter & 14 yr old grandson joined us....a lady did the children's message, after church the 14 yr old told us that she did not tell the story as the Bible records...Had to do with Jacob and the ladder....He was right on the money, the adult giving the message was only close to the truth.....gave me the opportunity to pass on some ole PaPa wisdom....lol

Now why did I post this....many of you know I have issues with organized religion....this week I was out in my barn (man-cave) with the doors open and doing some wood work and a lady from my sunday school class stopped and told me that a fellow from church had passed..we chatted for a bit and she said how they had missed us at church and during our conversation she told me that through my teaching and a few other things that I was responsible for several becoming active in the church and also that several non-church goers had started coming to church because of me....This got me to thinking (self-examination), although I do not feel worthy, but if somehow I influenced one to enter into a relationship with Jesus Christ then I could also influence one to fall out of a relationship with Jesus Christ.....Anyway I had to suck it up, put on my big boy britches, get over my crappy attitude and "rely on the Holy Spirit to get me straight".

I have to answer for ME...what organized religion does the leaders of such will have to answer for their actions....I pretty much got my hands full just trying to keep me straight.

One last point....I saw Francis this morning at church and told her that she had said something to me that led me to some serious self-examination which led me to the morning service....she asked what she had said......I told her..."not fair, I won't tell, when you do something good for God and you don't have any idea what you said or did, well that is true witnessing....God knows and that's all that matters.....OH!!! by the way, you better be good, cause HE is watching."

This up coming week...ASK & Trust that God will allow you to drop a few words or acts of kindness and "unknowing to you", these words or acts will reach out and touch one's heart and draw them closer to God.....
