"usage of CytoSorb® during the few hours of the surgical procedure appears to reduce the post-operative inflammatory response. This could be very important clinically, as patients who develop uncontrolled inflammation after cardiac surgery are highly prone to having dangerous complications such as multiple organ failure. This study gives us better visibility on what to expect in our own pending trial using CytoSorb® pre-emptively in this setting.”
