The gaming industry in Colombia is right now undergoing a major change
due to new rules set down by the government. It appears that
Julios sees the refitting of existing facilities which are not compliant
as a business opportunity. In one of the articles, it says that
new entrants in the gaming industry in Colombia must be fully compliant
with the new rules. So this is, at it seems, behind the gaming opportunities
that GHDC is pursuing in Colombia. There is money to be made
from the government required changes in the industry. Two important
announcements from just a couple weeks ago. The bottom line is
that all existing gaming facilities in Colombia have to be refitted
with hardware and software to meet the new requirements, and this
is what I believe is behind GHDC's initiative.
