A good friend of mine also suggested the following surrounding the Stockton 2 water subject:

"The reason we had to re-complete the well was because of a water issue. The well was making too much water. I have seen this many times with oil wells. That is why work over rigs are in business. There are plenty of things that can be done. 2' to 3' between where you had been perforated and where you are perforated now after a re-completion can make a HUGE difference. If someone says that is not so then they don't know the oil field. All they know is a computer. This well will make less and less water every hour until it goes bottoms up. What I mean by bottoms up is that all of the completion fluid and the acid that was pumped into the well has been removed by flowing the well. After this has been completed you will only be flowing what is in the formation."
