I hate to sound facetious but...No kidding, really gee, I didn't know that investors can sell short or buy long. You should open up a school. Oy Vey! Are there any kindergarteners here? Come on we are all past class 101. Even a shmo knows he can do whatever he/she wants with his/her own stock which is his/her property as long as it is legal. But the company does not issue short. Period. After it is bought then it is out there and anything can be done in terms of buying or selling.
