Could be anyone. Buyers, you know, for the dump.

No idea. Again, no idea. Still no idea. Manipulation not required for pump and dump.

no. but not all pump and dumps require payment.

This isn't hard. A pump and dump is easy. Something causes an increase in buying. The pump. (in this case the article). Then more shares are sold. The dump. Doesn't require a conspiracy. Both side could be caused by one person. Not manipulation. However, not a good thing.
