Pick a broker that'll give you free charts/technical analysis and level 2. Study and learn charts and TA until you are sick of it. Then paper trade on that knowledge until you get it right. In short, learn how to trade before you worry about investing. You think all the really savvy investors don't know how to trade? How do you think they got so rich?

Trading/investing without chart analysis is like bringing a knife to a gunfight.
