Here's an interesting study from UCLA & the N. American Brain Tumor Assoc about Glioblastoma and PFS being a likely predictor of OS:

But anyone who knows Glioblastoma in a real life experience will know that to a patient and family, PFS = OS. Progression with GBM typically reaches the point where the patient/family wish OS were shorter. The progression symptoms of Brain Cancer are obviously drastically different from Breast Cancer or any others.
