Sorry, your post makes no sense.
You cannot divorce your parents, perhaps you can dis-own them. However, if he did that, I don't think his mother would appoint him to take over her position.

A real company would hire an unrelated person, or promote from within. Too bad there's no one left. The person, imo, that should have gotten it would be Daughter Deb. After all, look at her wild success selling these contraptions over the last 20 years! How many of these weee sold all over the world? Yeah... It's perfect fit!
