Your example about the author is kind of what I was trying to brainstorm about yesterday with a tiered profit sharing agreement. Again, I know nothing about this area. But in effect, LBSR says, "OK, we will sign a deal where we get 30% of the first $100 million in mining profit and you get 70% because you are putting your capital at risk. But we are so confident of the potential here, that from $100 million to $200 million, our share of the pie goes up to 40%, and from then up, we split 50/50." Totally making up the percentages but you get the idea. It seems like it would be a win/win situation because the more humongous the minerals, the more everyone makes!
